Greetings faithful friends and supporters!
Last September we had our annual Israel Mandate conference here at IHOP Jax. “Israel Mandate” is just the term that we use to describe the call that we feel to pray for, love, and bless the nation and people of Israel.
This year, we were honored to once again host Wes Hall from IHOP KC and Katherine Eibel. Wes and Katherine each carry such a passion to articulate the heart of God for Israel as well as inspire the Body of Christ to take her place in God’s brilliant strategy to bring salvation to Israel.
Quality not Quantity
One concept that really stuck out to me this year was out of Romans 11:25-26 in which Paul writes, “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;
Wes Hall taught us that traditionally this verse has been understood to mean that “the fullness of the Gentiles” is referencing quantity. Meaning, that God is waiting for a certain number of Gentiles to inherit salvation before salvation comes to Israel. However, Wes taught us that “the fullness of the Gentiles” is actually referencing quality. Meaning, that it is the maturity of the Gentile Church that will begin to unlock the hearts of Israel. Part of this maturation being the realization of what it means to have been “grafted in” to the olive tree of Israel.
And, it is to this end that we at IHOP Jax continue to pray both for the maturation of the Church as well as the salvation of Israel. Judge John and Denise Meisburg do such a fantastic job in leading the Israel prayer sets. For those of you that feel a specific call to intercede for God’s purposes in Israel, we highly recommend you attend one of these powerful sets. Israel Mandate sets are on the second Tuesday of every month from 8pm-10pm.
