MAY NEWSLETTER 2015

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:15-18)

Colossians 1:15-18 details the enormity and preeminence of Jesus. How can you explain the inexplainable? Jesus is the Father God’s self-knowledge in the flesh…literally the human face of God. How can we conceptualize one whom contains and and upholds all of creation by the word of His power? He is (not was) before all things meaning right now. Jesus stands outside of time and simultaneously is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end and the author and the finisher!

It is exciting to think that no matter how much we have learned of Jesus, there is still so much more to see and experience as we sit under the living word as it reveals the vast greatness of Christ.
